Chance Meeting

Chance Meeting

Your first true love
How we all wish it did last
Always hoping for a second chance
To live again in the past

That mistakes could be forgotten
Wishing you knew what you had
Instead of letting dissipate
Thinking of why it went bad

Years later, looking back
You have used, and abused
Searching for what you gave away
Now no longer so confused

Then by happen stance
You see him again
Sitting alone in a coffee shop
You stare a moment, wondering if he is still a friend

Is he the same as used to be
To approach or not crosses your mind
Hesitating you think of saying hi
Though scared of the man you might find

Years ago you hurt a boy
Flashes of the good times
Run across your mind
Followed by your crimes

Would he be happy to see you
Or look for an excuse to leave
Maybe even ignore you all together
Feelings and thoughts begin to deceive

He starts putting up his stuff
Soon he shall depart
You quickly try to build courage
Hoping for a fresh start

You wait for him to leave the store
For him to turn and see you
That connection to reform
That chance for something new

He leaves the store
Takes a look around
Your eyes fall in his gaze
Then his jaw drops down….

The End. 😛

It truely is a human condition to look back to the past.. forgetting we actually live in the now… All life experiences equip us and give us the knowlege needed to become well rounded individuals… In love I believe in each relationship we enter.. we see in the other person.. the essence of what we search for in a soulmate and each relationship has lessons to show us what we don’t and do want in a soulmate relationship… I believe if viewed this way and to see the positives and also forgive the negatives and taking the time to answer the questions as to why the relationship went this way.. we will eventually meet our true soulmate and will experience what we search for… It either being with somebody we’ve met previously or someone we’ve yet to meet…
    Jen.
