Kids At Play

Kids at Play
A carved torso hangs in the center of the room
The sound of child’s mummers echoes from the play room
There is nothing but a mess in the kitchen and dining room
Yet in the air a delicious aroma still does loom
Three children sit, smile, and consume
For the sun is about to die and give way to the moon.
Looking around the play room we see, three
Hansel is the leader of the three
Gretel is the girl of the three
Tom Piper is the cutest of the three
On what a sight, If only you could see
As each do drink sweetened blood tea
A giggle, A laugh, then a pause
No warning, no cue, and then the pause
So what was the cause of this sudden pause
Tom asked Gretel to marry was the cause
After the sudden pause came applause
For she said yes to end the pause
All three cheered and together did sleep
Tom tossed and turned into his sleep
As Gretel was peaceful in her sleep
Hansel awoke from his sleep
A sad dream made him begin to weep
The others slept never hearing a peep
Tom awoke the next morning
Finding something sad this fateful morning
From which threw him into mourning
What did he find in the morning?
Gretel dead without a warning
Without her cloths on this morning
Hansel sits quiet in the corner
Wearing Gretel’s clothing in the corner
Saying “you are mine” in the corner
Saying “You can’t leave me now” in the corner
Saying “I never will” in the corner
Saying “We are now one” in the corner.
