Close Quarters

Close Quarters

One Works Hard to pay the bills
The other does nothing to help
One is to nice to show her anger
The other is stuck to linger

Unknown to one with the ethics
The just feels his is pathetic
Lost again from when he was found
Now trapped by self pity he is bound

Anger Rises behind the eyes of the one losing money
Asking for cooked eggs but getting runny
IT isn’t for weeks when she learns
How anger for himself always burns

Its just now he faces who he is
Unable to make it in the Biz
For normal jobs tear him down
Never receiving the honored crown

So days turn to weeks
All remain bleak
He begins to feel worthless
Both forgotten financial bliss

Months come and go
Discontentment slowly grows
As every moment continues
So does the level of agitated views

Out he trots to find a job
Though Nothing adds this useless slob
So return to the “home” he must do
As his insides turn to glue

Unable to take things ins stride
Sooner or later his feelings hide
Knowing and agreeing to her view
yet in her mind he “doesn’t get the clue”

Around and around they treacherously spin
Unable to find the peace within
Sooner or later something will give
Them both coping with a new way to live.
