Dear Son

Dear Son,

Nicholas, Nicholas, what is best for you
Should your mother and I form somthing new
Should I remain a gaurdian in shadow
Watching you grow from out a window

For your to young to understand
All the problems at hand
Can the past remain undisturbed
Or is the notion just abserd

Will me Becoming a major role
Leave you to pay the toll
If things again go arie
Will I be able to cease your cry

Can you love what you do not know
Through birthdays covered in snow
Will me being always gone
Give you the feeling that you are wrong

A replacement choosen by your mother
Maybe having a new half brother
As I become an untold story
Making everything faded glory

I wish I could be there
But for you is it fair?
Could a family with a hidden past
Ever hope to forever last?

I do not have all these answers to these questions
But I know I love you without exceptions
Regardless the outcome I shall come if you call
Because to me you’re worth it all
