Fair

Fair

Why does one person always care more
Yet always ends up with their heart tore
Why does the devoted one always stay
As the other says it was all for play
One up late at night worried about the other
While she is in bed with his brother

Cooking dinner and cleaning house
While he ignores her new blouse
Lover’s hate turns out to heart-ach
When one’s love turns out to be fake
Taking all the ever could
More than they ever should
Leaving fragile mess behind
As they walk away with a new find

“All is fair in love and war”
As if anyone knew the score
Nothing is equal, nothing is fair
There is not a selfish free means to care
