Hero’s Replacement

Hero’s Replacement

A great man died today
He paved his own honor
Fighting those who lost their way
This man’s name was Connor

He had fought many battles
Remaining strong and humble
Saving babies and their rattles
Never once did his morals stumble

He met his end by evils hand
As most good men unfortunately do
Facing a darkness he couldn’t withstand
So what is the point of me telling you

What will evil do when there is no good
Only do what it does best continue to hurt
So I ask you, would you stop them if you could
Inside you is their light that wont convert

The wicked never sleeps at night
So neither can those who fight
This countless harsh unending blight
To always defend what is right

Do you have a strong enough will
To resit injustice’s temptation
To defeat and over come the ill
Protecting honor from extinction

It is a life choice full of sorrow
Lonely, Painful, with little reward
A life harder with every tomorrow
Your deed by the masses, will be ignored

The people you save,
The lives you give hope
Well weep at your grave
For losing the hero…that helped them cope.
