Dueling Dragons

Dueling Dragons

A younger brothers guilt
A sisters heart of wilt
Caused family’s blood to be split
Lives of surviving tragedies
Existing in horrific diversities
Only to become monstrosities

Out of the rubble of a past comprised
Of lies failures, and intention compromised
For many years the lived silence and ostracized
Till an event switched how their hearts felt
Changing there views with what they had dealt
Causing resentment and bitterness to melt

As they finally could let the past die
To help each other understand and move by
Giving a loving family another try
Remembering so much but seeing the change
They see the other is not so mean, and strange
Living together having thoughts exchange

They can finally fine some sort of ease
Living life’s free of one another’s sleaze
Sharing even the last piece of cheese
A connection slowly begins to regrow
Forgiving the past and all its woe
Together again their futures do glow.
