The Foolish Fox

The Foolish Fox

The dark side of the moon shines bright
As the shadows begin to consume the night
A smoke ring rises from the ash
As the fox comes to grab and dash
The wolf’s howl rings out from the rising chaos
Blood on his lips from the rabbit that was cross
The fox smiles having taken the wolf’s insane prize
Thinking he was more clever than he could realize
Quickly he runs to leave this county
But the Wolf had placed his bounty
His followers having heard his call
Begin to gather together one and all
The pack moves in slowly on the scent of blood
As the fox lives in his ego unaware of the flood
that forms a cage, that is bound in rage
Slowly the fox begins to feel a little queasy
His breathing starts becoming very uneasy
He stops hearing sound, starts looking all around
He can feel his heart begin to flutter
as his legs begin to weaken and shutter
A thousand pairs of wolf eyes are locked
On the fox who finally sees he is fucked.
